Protecting our students is a top priority at all levels, which involves:
  • Ensuring that children are raised with safe and effective care.
  • Protecting children from potential negative effects on all aspects of their health and growth.
  • Safeguarding children from harm and mistreatment of any kind.
  • Taking steps to ensure that every child achieves optimal results in a safe environment.
The UAE places high importance on child protection, leading to the implementation of the Child Rights Law in June 2016. Child protection in the UAE covers various forms of abuse, such as physical, emotional, and sexual abuse; neglect; repeated mistreatment; grooming for sexual exploitation; and exploitation by extremist or hate-promoting groups. In the UAE, all schools are mandated to report any information that raises a potential issue regarding a child’s well-being.

Recruitment procedures aimed at enhancing safety

All our employees are carefully selected with the safety of our children in mind. All employees must provide a suitable police check upon joining. Our recruitment team arranges child protection and safety training for all staff members upon joining, with additional sessions conducted periodically for smaller groups. Recruitment staff diligently inquire about child protection during interviews. Additionally, at ELPS, we provide compulsory safeguarding training for all our employees, including support staff. Our whistleblowing policy requires reporting any concerns about staff members to our Designated Safeguarding Team.
