At English Language Private School Dubai (ELPS), we offer a robust British curriculum designed
to nurture well-rounded, future-ready individuals. Our curriculum is structured to provide students
with a comprehensive education that fosters academic excellence, critical thinking, creativity, and

British Curriculum Overview
ELPS follows the National Curriculum of England, providing students from FS2 to Year 13 with a
solid foundation in core subjects while promoting holistic development. The curriculum emphasizes
the development of key skills in literacy, numeracy, science, technology, and the arts, ensuring
students are equipped to succeed in a global society
Our curriculum prepares students for internationally recognized qualifications such as the
International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) and A-Levels, paving the way
for their admission to top universities worldwide
Curriculum Stages
Foundation Stage (FS2)
The Early Years Foundation Stage focuses on play-based learning, fostering curiosity, creativity,
and social skills. Our youngest learners explore literacy, numeracy, and communication through
engaging activities that develop a love for learning from the start.
Key Stage 1 (Years 1 & 2)
Students build foundational skills in reading, writing, mathematics, and science. The curriculum
encourages inquiry-based learning, helping students develop problem-solving skills and a strong
sense of independence.
Key Stage 2 (Years 3 to 6)
Key Stage 2 focuses on expanding students’ knowledge across core subjects while fostering
personal growth. Our students explore subjects such as English, mathematics, science, Arabic,
Islamic Studies, ICT, art, music, and physical education.
Key Stage 3 (Years 7 to 9)
At this stage, students are introduced to a broader range of subjects, including physics, chemistry, biology, environmental management and design technology. They continue to build their academic
foundation while exploring their interests and talents through extracurricular activities
Key Stage 4 (Years 10 & 11)
Students prepare for their International GCSE examinations by selecting a combination of core and
optional subjects. The International GCSE curriculum helps students develop critical thinking and
practical skills, preparing them for future academic and career paths
Key Stage 5 (Years 12 & 13)
In the Sixth Form, students pursue International A-Level qualifications. The International A-Level
program allows students to specialize in areas that align with their career aspirations and university
goals. We offer guidance and support throughout the university application process, ensuring our
graduates are ready to excel in higher education. We conduct orientation sessions and university
fairs in our campus.
Language Development
In addition to English, we place a strong emphasis on the Arabic language, recognizing its
importance in UAE culture and identity. Arabic is taught to both native and non-native speakers to
ensure that students develop proficiency in the language, as per KHDA guidelines.
Islamic Studies is also a part of our curriculum for Muslim students, ensuring they develop a deep
understanding of Islamic values and heritage.

We use a variety of assessment methods to monitor student progress and provide feedback. These
include formative assessments, summative assessments, benchmarking assessments and
standardized tests. Parents receive regular progress reports and are invited to parent-teacher
meetings to discuss their child’s development.

institutions in Dubai who offer 100% scholarships to our graduating students for further education.
We have carved arrangements with universities abroad including Pakistan where we fund
scholarships that those universities offer to our deserving students.
