English Language Private School successfully hosted the Read, Learn & Comply event on August 30–31, 2025. The programme was organized by the ELPS Volunteering Team under the banner of the Pakistan Educational Cultural Board, a not-for-profit entity, reflecting our commitment to community service, compliance, and capacity building.
Purpose of the Event
The Read, Learn & Comply initiative combined functional literacy with essential training on school policies and UAE regulations. It was designed to empower non-teaching staff—drivers, cleaners, maintenance staff, canteen workers, and security—by equipping them with the skills and knowledge necessary for a safer and more professional school environment.
Key Components
Functional Literacy: Understanding safety signs, workplace vocabulary, and filling forms.
Policy Awareness & Compliance: Training on health & safety protocols, child protection, moral education, and compliance with KHDA, CDA, and MOHRE requirements.
Practical Application: Role-play scenarios, bilingual handouts, and emergency response practice.
Participation and Oversight
The two-day programme saw full participation from all support staff. Sessions were delivered by the ELPS Volunteer Coordinator, Designated Safeguarding Officer, Health & Safety Officer, CDA-approved trainers, and supported by volunteer teachers and senior students.
