Distance Learning Continuation (April 6 – April 17, 2026)

Dear Parents, Students and Members of our School Community,

Distance learning will continue from Monday, April 6, 2026 to Friday, April 17, 2026, in line with the latest directive issued by the Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA).

All existing systems and structures remain in place to ensure continuity without disruption. This continuation is a precautionary measure in response to the ongoing regional situation, with the safety and wellbeing of our students and staff as our highest priority.


Learning Arrangements

  • Students will follow the published timetable and school hours
  • All lessons will be delivered via Microsoft Teams (official platform)
  • Students must log in using their official school accounts only
  • Attendance and punctuality are mandatory for every lesson
  • There will be no disruption to curriculum coverage or planned assessments

Mock Examinations for Board Classes

  • Mock examinations for IGCSE and A Level will proceed as per the published schedule
  • All mock examinations will be conducted online during the Distance Learning period
  • Students must adhere to:
    • Scheduled timings
    • Instructions issued by subject teachers
    • Academic integrity expectations
  • These assessments are critical for exam readiness and will inform targeted support and intervention

Outstanding Fee Payment

  • Parents are requested to ensure that any outstanding school fees are cleared at the earliest
  • The online fee payment facility remains fully operational for your convenience
  • Timely payment is essential to ensure uninterrupted access to all school services and platforms
  • For any queries related to accounts or payment support, parents may contact the school through official communication channels

First Point of Contact

  • The Form Tutor remains the first point of contact for:
    • Academic concerns
    • Access or technical issues
  • Parents and students are expected to contact the Form Tutor before escalation

Safeguarding Compliance

The ELPS Distance Learning Safeguarding Policy applies to all participants.

  • Anonymous or unidentified access is not permitted
  • All safeguarding concerns must be reported immediately
  • Participation in online lessons implies full compliance with safeguarding protocols

Operational Guidelines

  • School premises will remain closed to students and visitors
  • Extracurricular activities and sports academies remain suspended
  • Parents must ensure:
    • A suitable learning environment at home
    • Device availability for uninterrupted access
